How to Make Thumbprint Heart Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 175 °C (350 °F).
- Cream together the softened butter and brown sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, mixing well until incorporated.
- Incorporate the flour and salt, stirring until just combined.
- Form dough balls of approximately 1 tablespoon each on a baking sheet.
- Make a small indentation in the center of each dough ball.
- Fill each indentation with a bit of your chosen jam.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, watching for edges to turn golden.
- Cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
