Preparation
  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Dip them in hot water to remove wax, then dry. Insert a stick or straw into each apple and chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Crush Golden Oreos and freeze-dried strawberries in a food processor or bag until fine crumbs. Mix in melted butter to create coarse sand. Spread on parchment-lined tray to cool.
  3. Melt white candy melts with shortening in microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in cheesecake extract. Dip each apple in melted coating, swirling to cover evenly, then roll in strawberry crunch.
  4. Melt red candy melts with vegetable oil until fluid. Drizzle over coated apples using a piping bag or spoon. Allow to set completely.
  5. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla, whipping until stiff peaks form. Pipe a swirl on each apple.
  6. Place a fresh strawberry on each whipped cream swirl, and sprinkle with pink sugar or additional strawberry crunch. Keep chilled until serving.
