How to Make Quick Cranberry Sauce
- In a large saucepan, mix the granulated sugar, orange juice, and water. Stir well until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Stir in the fresh cranberries, a small pinch of salt, the cinnamon stick, and the orange zest strip.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the cranberries pop and start to soften.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce cool for at least 30 minutes. Once it reaches room temperature, cover and refrigerate.
