  • 1 box (3 oz) cherry jello adds a sweet and fruity flavor
  • 1 cup boiling water for dissolving jello
  • 0.5 cup cold water
Creamy Layer
  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin provides firm structure
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk for creaminess
  • 1.5 cups boiling water for dissolving gelatin
  • 0.5 cup cold water for blooming gelatin
Lime Layer
  • 1 box (3 oz) lime jello adds refreshing tang
  • 1 cup boiling water for dissolving lime jello
  • 0.5 cup cold water

Method
 

Preparation Instructions
  1. Dissolve the cherry jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir, then add 0.5 cup of cold water. Pour into a 9x13 dish and refrigerate until set, about 30–45 minutes.
  2. While the cherry layer sets, sprinkle 2 packets of unflavored gelatin over 0.5 cup of cold water. Let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Add 1.5 cups of boiling water to the bloomed gelatin and stir until dissolved. Mix in the sweetened condensed milk and cool slightly.
  4. Gently pour the creamy mixture over the set cherry layer and refrigerate to firm up.
  5. In a bowl, dissolve the lime jello in 1 cup of boiling water, then add 0.5 cup of cold water and cool slightly.
  6. Once the creamy layer has set, pour the lime layer on top. Refrigerate until fully set, about 1 hour.
  7. Slice the dessert into squares and serve chilled. Optional: garnish with fresh mint leaves.
