Instructions
  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s guidance.
  2. Whisk together the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl: flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Whisk together buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Prepare the cinnamon swirl by blending melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  5. Grease the waffle iron lightly and pour about 1/2 cup of the waffle batter into the center. Pipe a spiral of the cinnamon mixture on top, then close the iron and cook until golden and crisp, approximately 3–4 minutes per waffle.
  6. Mix the cream cheese drizzle by beating the softened cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
