Preparation
- Mix white cake mix according to package instructions. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Divide batter into two bowls. Tint one half with green gel food coloring and leave other half white.
- Pour each color of batter into separate 8×8 pans and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes. Let cakes cool completely.
- Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, blending well. Fold in whipped topping and milk until creamy.
- Cut both cakes into 1-inch cubes.
- Layer green cake cubes, cream mixture, and holiday sprinkles in a clear trifle dish. Add white cake cubes, more cream, and sprinkles. Repeat layers.
- Top with whipped topping and additional holiday sprinkles. Place star decoration on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
