Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  5. Scoop the dough into 2-tablespoon balls and place them 2½ inches apart on your prepared baking sheet.
