Ingredients
  

For the Biscuits
  • 1 tube Refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 2 tablespoons Melted butter for brushing
For the Filling
  • 8 ounces Thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 4 ounces Provolone cheese or mozzarella as substitute
  • 2 tablespoons Creamy horseradish sauce or grainy mustard as substitute
For the Au Jus
  • 1 packet Au jus gravy mix or homemade beef broth
  • 1 cup Water to prepare au jus

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the biscuit dough and split each biscuit in half horizontally, flattening each piece into a circle about 3 inches across.
  3. Spread a thin layer of creamy horseradish sauce on the bottom halves of the biscuits.
  4. Layer slices of roast beef and provolone cheese onto each bottom biscuit.
  5. Place the remaining biscuit halves on top and gently press down the edges to seal them together.
  6. Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 12 to 18 minutes until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.
  8. Prepare au jus by mixing the gravy packet with water and heating until hot.
  9. Serve the baked biscuits warm alongside the au jus for dipping.
